TechnikEdit founder Dr Andrea Varga has worked in both Australia and the US.  She is experienced across a range of industries and has seen the growth of mixed messages and information overload in the web and general documentation.

Writers are doing their best, but the finalising or polishing of documents has greatly reduced, impacting on consumers overall experience and negative impressions on government or company websites. Competition is fierce so websites should be their best.

Dr Varga has been a University Faculty Marketing Manager, written two academic books, many scientific papers and communications, media releases, been involved in sales and marketing, pharmaceutical sales, health support coordination initiatives, project management support, customer service, and the general education sector.

She has clearly seen a lack of written communication skills in some students in the education sector, having assessed hundreds of local and international student assignments and exams over the years.

Communication styles vary from country to country, business to business and person to person. Unfortunately in the ever changing world, strong messages and ideas get lost in a sea of information.

TechnikEdit has been created to assist with getting words, or thoughts to a precise and well-written format for publishing. Aims are to provide continuity, consistency and correct word usage.

The need is there. The realisation of the need is not always obvious. Websites and documents are often written with a team not always checking for consistency or fluency, or in fact user experience. Non-experienced webdevelopers or webeditors may also develop inactive links, reducing Google Search Engine Optimisations and less favourable hits.

TechnikEdit has three aims: (i) to consult clients to see what needs to be done; (ii) to assist with copy-editing and polishing/final proofing before publication of documents and marketing material to allow better user experience and (iii) to look at websites for correct content and links.
